About Brien

 

   Brien is a veteran broadcast journalist with experience in local news, streaming, and syndicated television.

 Currently anchoring newscasts at KTVX TV in Salt Lake City, Brien has a keen interest in stories about climate, energy, and the environment. He hosts a streaming show about beekeeping, where he also showcases his environmental reporting.

  Brien's reporting has taken him around the world. From the jungles of Papua New Guinea to Australia, Nicaragua, and Europe, Brien follows the story wherever it leads. Brien has a working knowledge of Spanish and Persian (Farsi), with an interest in global affairs. He grew up on military bases around the country, which inspired his interest in people, travel, and the environment.
